JOB DESCRIPTION:
The suitable incumbent for this role will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering all mandatory training as well as learnership programmes for both Lift I and Lift II underground operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with line management regarding training needs and report on learner progress
- Compile POEs according to training and development procedures
- Provide skills development opportunities to support the departments Strategy
- Update learning materials and related procedures when there are changes in standards, procedures and templates
- Follow up on training events created on SAP
- Schedule training interventions according to training plan and operational requirements
- Carry out training delivery or facilitation in accordance with ETQA requirements
- Conduct formative, summative assessments and Recognition of Prior Learning assessments according to training and development procedures
- Maintain accurate skill matrix, matrix of training records, assessor log and moderator log
- Develop learning materials in terms of unit standards requirements and site-specific requirements
- Participate and contribute in incidents or accident Investigations, departmental SHEQ and Section 54 meetings
- Provide relevant and up to date reports to line management on a continuous basis
- Stays current with the latest training development in the mining sector through participation in MQA TRG for implementation of new developments to maintain the organization’s accreditation
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Assessor with MQA
- DMRE Blasting Certificate or Rock-breaker NQF L3 for Underground Hardrock
- 5 years experience as Miner or Coordinator in an Underground Mining Operation
- At least 2 years Supervisory or Shift boss experience
- Moderator Certificate and OETDP Level 5 – Added Advantages
- Computer Literacy – with ERP systems
- National Diploma in Mining or related field
