RELATIONSHIP CONSULTANT – BUSINESS (REF: 4)

Job purpose

To support the management of relationships with key stakeholders as identified and prioritised in the strategic plan to promote Brand South Africa’s strategic objectives in partnership with these stakeholders, to external audiences.
To influence relationships with key stakeholders as identified and prioritised in the strategic plan to promote Brand South Africa’s branding and communications objectives in partnership with these stakeholders, to external audiences.

To play a key programmatic role in the definition and delivery of projects through obtaining the brief from internal or external stakeholders, developing internal briefs where required, needs and expectations of the stakeholders and ensuring they are effectively addressed in the roll-out plan facilitated by Brand South Africa and through efficiently leveraging stakeholder resources.
The Relationship Consultant is one of the main Brand South Africa custodians of the relationship with identified stakeholders and a key output is to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of these collaborations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/ Economics/ Marketing/ Business Management/ Project Management Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Political Science / Economics / Marketing / Business Management (e.g. MBA)/ Project Management
• 5+ years combined project management experience in marketing, communications, public relations, stakeholder relations, at a mid-management level • 5 years’ experience using systems such as excel and or Microsoft projects to deliver high level Gannt and planning charts

Key Performance Areas:

1. Development and coordination of programme specific projects and initiatives.
• With reference to Brand South Africa business plan and signed MoU’s with priority stakeholders, unpack, research, workshop and develop implementation plans to activate the delivery of a project / initiative / campaign in line with the integrated marketing and communications programme and stakeholder expectations
• Maintain and manage relationships with the right decision-makers and influencers and canvass all input from geographic and stakeholder plans and target group information

2. Sell the project / initiative / campaign plan for buy-in and approval (sign-off) with relevant stakeholder priority base (levels, locations, platforms, decision-makers, beneficiaries)
• Sell the project / campaign / initiative to the relevant stakeholder bases and decision makers / beneficiaries to ensure buy-in in terms of the content, tone, roll-out mechanism(s), budget, audience target(s), collaborative ownership, timelines and output
• Develop internal concept documents to sell the project / campaign / initiative to the internal units and decision-makers to ensure buy-in in terms of the content, tone, roll-out mechanism(s), budget, audience target(s), collaborative ownership, time lines and output
• Feedback stakeholder inputs, research, scanning of the environment, and other relevant information (budgets, changing priorities) back to Marketing and Communications for refinement and amendment in the activation plans to ensure sign-off
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the stakeholder-implemented initiatives (including risks) and reflect this in the quarterly reporting in accordance with the contracted performance measurement and business plan scorecard of the organisation

3. Compliance, monitoring and reporting
• To scan the wider public policy environment to identify and leverage opportunities for future work where supportive of the strategic aims of Brand South Africa, develop leads to establish relationships with public policy makers and influencers and identify opportunities
• for joint future work where appropriate. (E.g. new international relations strategy, diplomacy rules for sectors and geographic regions)
• Ensure adherence to the project corporate identity, copy right, correct representation, referencing, necessary Brand South Africa support to affect the objectives of the stakeholder roll-out plans. Ensure collateral is available at all Brand South Africa stakeholder activations

4. General administration
• Ensure all portfolio of evidence is correct, appropriate accurate and uploaded onto the relevant Brand South Africa identified SharePoint portal
• Maintain all project documentation for retrieval. Develop error-free submissions for presentation by the GM to EXCO
• Process submissions to effect the issue of purchase orders necessary payments, S&Ts, travel and other financial or SCM required transactions
• Monitor resource spend and financial expenditure in accordance with the approved project plans
• Develop ROI for increased stakeholder value

DIGITAL SPECIALIST (REF:3)
Department: Marketing and Communications
Reporting to: Digital & New Media Manager
Salary package: R632 944,00 (TCTC per annum) Negotiable

Job purpose:

To manage digital content and campaigns efficiently and effectively. The Digital Specialist is responsible for the operational, day-to-day management of the online communities for the organisation; from creating monthly schedules, briefing of artwork, social media paid marketing management to daily monitoring of platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Marketing, Media or Communications – ideally with specialisation in Digital Marketing or equivalent
• 5 years’ proven working experience in digital marketing
• Well versed in influencer community in South Africa, and social media platforms.

Key Performance Areas:

1) Participate in the development of digital business strategy
• Contribute input into the overall conceptualisation and development of the Brand South Africa digital strategy
• Conceptualise and manage in conjunction with the Digital Manager the social media strategies in line with the business strategy

2) Digital Channels and campaign management
• Management of the digital platforms including website and social media communities for the organisation
• Develop content calendars in line with the strategy
• Responsible for content activation on social media, plus audience participation and campaign integration
• Work with designated agencies to execute agreed digital priorities and campaign
• Identify and manage relationships with media partners and suitable online influencers that will support the overall digital and brand marketing strategy
• Responsible for ensuring that visual presentation and content is compelling and consistent
• Work closely with the Graphic Designer and appointed agencies for visual and multimedia content development.
• On the ground support at all Brand South Africa events
• Leverage the CRM database for suitable social media communications opportunities

3). Reporting and Analytics

• Develop campaign KPIs and reporting templates
• Compile monthly evaluation and reporting of digital initiatives
• Develop actionable recommendations to continuously improve the organisation’s digital presence
• Maintain close eye on global practices and translate them into actionable opportunities for the organisation

4) Stakeholder relations
• Support the Digital Manager with the development of presentations, analysis, and planning for feedback sessions with Brand South Africa stakeholders • Liaise with the internal communications team to alert them of complaints/queries requiring communications intervention
• Work closely with internal teams to understand the business challenges/opportunities and to assist in developing relevant digital programs that will maximize the organisation’s growth potential

5) Planning and Organising
• Support the Digital Manager with key projects through their entire lifecycle (from development, implementation to feedback assessment)

6) Financial management/oversight and compliance
• Assist Digital Manager with budget planning for digital projects
• Manage online paid placements effectively

Job purpose:

To manage and influence relationships with key stakeholders prioritised in the strategic plan to promote Brand South Africa’s programmes and communications objectives in partnership with these stakeholders, to external audiences.
To be responsible for managing key government stakeholders, developing and maintaining a long term strategic relationship with stakeholders and partnership opportunities within them.
To play a key relationship manager role in the definition and delivery of projects through obtaining the brief, needs and expectations of the stakeholders and ensuring they are effectively addressed in the roll-out plan facilitated by Brand South Africa and through efficiently leveraging stakeholder resources. The strategic relationship manager is the main Brand South Africa custodian of the relationship with government stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the collaborations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science / Economics /Sales and Marketing / Business Management.
• Postgraduate degree in Political Science / Economics /Sales and Marketing / Business Management and Communications will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years combined experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and Stakeholder Relations, (account management), at a senior level.
• Comprehensive understanding of domestic and international political, economic and legislative environment. Thorough knowledge of the workings of the business and macro-economic environment (domestic and international).
• Knowledge of government sector and understanding the socio-economic environment (domestic and international).

Job purpose

Develops reputation management, marketing and communications strategies for the identified Global Markets Programme (Primarily Africa & the Middle East) while supporting country office heads (US, UK & China) through coordinating the implementation of ops plans and activities from the head office in Johannesburg.
Promote South Africa as a competitive investment destination through implementing brand and communications programmes in partnership with stakeholders in the markets (govt, business, civil society & media).

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations/Political Science / Economics / Sales and Marketing / Business Management / Brand Communications or equivalent.
• Preferred: Postgraduate degree in International Relations/ Economics / Sales and Marketing / Communications/ Business Management (e.g. MBA).
