ARTISAN ASSISTANT

Valkenberg Hospital

Experience:
Appropriate experience in general maintenance within a Health environment.
Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):
Basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, mechanical, light current, Air-con & refrigeration, plumbing, painting, tiling and other related basic functions for a Handyman. Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs):
Ensure an effective maintenance service to Valkenberg Hospital. Ensure Occupational Health and Safety. Repairs and standby duties. Render assistance to supervisor and colleagues.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
Grade 10 (or equivalent).

Inherent Requirement Of The Job:
Must be prepared to work overtime and do standby duties. Must be physically able to perform the duties required. Valid Code B/EB drivers’ licence.
Remuneration:
R 147 459 – R 173 706 per annum Annual salary plus service benefits (13th cheque, employer’s contribution to the pension fund, housing and medical aid allowance).
